Dan Swanson discusses "Raising the Bar" through Internal Auditing

As a well known authority in the fields of governance, compliance, auditing and risk management, Swanson has spearheaded numerous efforts to share and debate new developments that affect the work of internal audit professional as well as corporate executives, board members and IT practitioners. His new book, Raising the Bar, provides years of practical recommendations to easily overcome the real challenges of internal audits and recommended solutions. As a 26-year internal audit veteran who was formerly the director of professional practices at the Institute of Internal Auditors, Swanson has completed audit projects for more than 30 organizations, spending nearly 10 years in government auditing at various levels. He has completed more than 50 IT conversion audits and a dozen comprehensive audits of the information technology function. Swanson also writes a monthly internal audit column for AuditNet, a bi-monthly IT audit column for the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors (AHIA), and a monthly IT Governance resource newsletter for IT Governance Ltd.
